On December 23, 2002 Rachel and I went to Chicago for the holiday's. Every year we plan something nice for us to enjoy during Christmas. This year we decided that a nice night in Chicago would be a pleasant thing for us to get away. I checked us in to a nice little Holiday Inn just minutes from the Sears Tower. Once we unpacked we went out on the town to relax and take in all of what Chicago had to offer. Since we were a few miles from downtown, a huge benefit nearby was the Chicago Subway. We got a days pass and rode the subway in to town. There were so many people along Michigan Ave. walking, shopping, driving, and looking at the windows in Marshall Field's. Every year Marshall Field's puts on "The Twelve Days of Christmas" in their window displays. We enjoyed looking at all the windows and seeing the cute little displays they had. Other things we did was having dinner at Bennigan's, going to Navy Pier to watch the the Christmas Festival they had. When we got to Navy pier it was beautifully decorated with Christmas lights and many ornaments. It was a beautiful night we had there at Navy Pier watching all the kids skate at the ice rink inside of Navy Pier. We saw this one tall guy fall (he went from standing up to lying down in a second when he fell) and it was the funniest thing we had ever seen. later that night we had one of the cutest pictures taken of us in a HUGE wooden chair in front of a very big Christmas tree. Rachel and I enjoyed a very wonderful and peaceful time in Chicago during Christmas. I hope you have enjoyed looking at the pictures from our trip. Thanks very much and enjoy!
